In horology, a watch movement (also referred to as calibre), is the inner mechanism that acts as the engine of a watch. The movement allows the watch and it’s functions to operate, such as moving hands, calendar and keeping accurate time. Movements come in two main types: Mechanical (Manual & Automatic) and Quartz.
